SAVINGS

We encourage our members to save consistently to ensure a financially secure future. Our savings accounts enable you to create a nest egg for yourself and your children.

SHARE ACCOUNT

As a member of The IICU, you are entitled to purchase shares at a value of $5.00 per share, with a minimum of 20 shares valued at $100.00 which allows you the benefit of taking a loan against your shares and annual dividends.

Junior savers account

The Junior Savers Account is designed to encourage members to save for their children’s future, with a minimum contribution of 10 shares per month at a total of $50.00.

When the child reaches the age of 18, he/she will be able to handle the account on his/her own. This account attracts dividends annually and parents can take loans for their child to purchase books etc.

LOANS

A loan from us makes your life much easier. We offer loans for various purposes.

After 6 months of membership, you may qualify for a loan of up to 1 1/2 times your shares.

There are also special loans which are not tied to your shares. This added feature allows members who are in good standing for a year and more to take additional loans. These loans have fixed repayment amounts and periods.

family INDEMNITY PLAN

The FIP is a death benefit that covers you and 5 other family members (NOT siblings) in the event of death.

The benefit is payable within 48 hours after notice (death certificate) and picture I.D of both member and deceased are presented to the Credit Union.
